After sleeping on the Nectar Premier Memory Foam mattress for 3 days, we felt it delivered a luxury memory foam feel at an exceptional value. We really loved this mattress its construction and quality materials, and the memory foam was excellent for pressure relief and overall comfort.

It was not as cooling as some comparable hybrid mattresses, so we would not recommend it for hot sleepers. Additionally, the softness and contouring foam is not ideal for stomach sleepers.

We ordered the Nectar Premier directly from Nectar’s website. Their site has an easy to read and clean design. They were already offering 50% without any promo codes to enter or additional steps, so it was straightforward to place the order and know exactly what I was paying.

There were several customizations you could choose including material (memory foam or hybrid), size and additional cooling technology. I choose a memory foam queen with no other items or upgrades. They didn’t give a hard push for additional items, but they were a place to add bedding and foundations at special pricing for an additional charge.

The delivery was the fastest I’ve experienced of any mattresses companies, so if you need a mattress quickly, I highly recommend Nectar. I placed my order on a Sunday evening and the mattress was sitting on my doorstep Tuesday afternoon.

Unboxing & First Impressions

The Nectar Premier Memory Foam mattress arrived in a compact cardboard box with handles to help transport.

It was quite heavy and requires two people to move. Once we ripped open the box, it was easy to take the mattress out and unroll the first layer of plastic wrap.

As it uncoiled and the other plastic wrapping were cut open, the mattress started to unfold and thicken.

The foam expansion was on the slower side, which is typical of high-density memory foam. Nectar recommends waiting at least 24 and up to 48 hours for it to take its final, expanded form. We noticed the most significant expansion in the first 8 hours and then some small changes continued through day 2.

Overall the unboxing experience was easy. No frills or remarkable brand touches, but we really appreciated that it was not frustrating to unbox and setup.

The Nectar Premier lands right in the middle for a medium mattress. After sleeping on it for 3 nights, we were pleased with the deep pressure relief, especially in the side sleep position. The softness and support was well balanced, although I felt it was a bit too soft in the back sleep position, I felt like my butt was sinking and being cradled by the memory foam instead of having a nice lift in my hips.

If you are a side sleeper, back sleeper or just love the feeling of memory foam, this mattress will be a great choice. The foam compresses slowly and made us feel supporting in the back. We didn’t have any shoulder or hip pain when using this mattress.

The Nectar Premier excels at pressure relief. Memory foam is know to distribute body weight evenly, and this is especially important for side sleepers where all their weight is compressed in a more narrow, targeted area as the side of the body comes in contact with the mattress.

Cooling: Does the Nectar Premier Sleep Hot?

If you have a moderate temperature when you sleep, the Nectar Premier will be comfortable, but it you are a hot sleeper, a hybrid mattress on a cooling topper would be a better choice.

Durability & Lifespan

The Nectar Premiere is thicker than average with 13 inches of foam, including a substantial base foam, so it is built to last. Durability improves with a higher density foam, thickness and compression resistance, and we feel Nectar does this very well.

Given the materials and construction, we feel the Nectar Premier will last 7 to 10 years with proper care and a solid foundation.

The Nectar Premier has excelling pricing and value for the quality. At the time of testing, the Nectar Premier was $950 at online purchase, which was $500 less expensive than comparable memory foam mattresses.

You are getting deep pressure relieve, the comfort of thick layers of foam, and a premium feel all for a price under $1,000 for a queen. If you are looking for value with a luxury feel, Nectar Premier is a top choice.
