The WinkBed Luxury Firm combines layers of stabilizing foam over individually wrapped pocket coils, which create responsive, strong support. The mattress has modern design features like a Tencel cover and pillow top with gel-infused foam to help with cooling.

The WinkBed’s construction gives it a strong, sturdy feel. During the unboxing, the mattress felt heavy and substantial during setup, which made it more difficult to move into position, but also created a more premium, durable impression.

The Saatva Classic has a more traditional innerspring hybrid design. It includes a plush pillow-top, zoned memory foam lumbar support, dual coils for extra strength and targeted support. The dual coils are one of the defining design features that makes the Saatva Classic feel so supportive, breathable and responsive.

The biggest construction difference is compression and delivery. WinkBed ships compressed in a box, but expanded quickly.

Saatva arrives in its full size with standard home set up and delivery. You won’t need to worry about lifting and unboxing a heavy mattress, which creates a more premium buying experience.

Cooling: Which Sleeps Cooler?

Both mattresses performed well for cooling due to the hybrid designs. Saatva measured slightly cooler due to the organic cotton cover and dual coil system.

The WinkBed Luxury Firm did not sleep hot. The Tencel cover, gel-infused foam, and minimal sinking helped to avoid heat retention. Additionally since the mattress keeps you lifted instead of being hugged by foam, you are able to sleep cooler than an all-foam mattress.
